Let's not forget that what we're calling China is RED China, an unreformed Communist hellhole where the individual exists to serve the state. In FREE China, aka Taiwan, you can have as many children as you can care for, and they're still thought of as a blessing.

I do not need thegovernment to affirm my God. I affirm Him every day in my home, in my place of worship, in the conduct of my life. I need the government to make our country welcoming to people of all religious faiths and none, as long as they uphold the law. It is settled law that the Fourteenth Amendment applies the Bill of Rights to the states. The Declaration of Independence refers to a nondescript "Creator," not the Christian God, reflecting his disenchantment with organized Christianity and his evolving Deistic beliefs. He might not have written the Constitution (I doubt that it was the work of any single individual) but he was certainly present when it was being debated, and he shot down several attempts to make Christianity the
Indoctrinate your children in the Christian faith (in any of its incarnations) at home and in church, not in the public schools.

JFK had Dean Rusk and look who we've got. Time for a Secretary of State with real balls. I nominate John Bolton.

Where can I get an affordable copy of Profiles in Courage, in print or as an e-book? I've been looking all over.
The philosophy yes, and the values. But not the religion. Jefferson and Madison wisely separated church and state so we can all get along.
Did you read my post? Who is denying Christians their right to practice their religion? Just don't foist it on others, in public schools or on public property.
We've been through a lot worse as a nation and come through. For all our faults, we are MUCH better than our enemies. When was the last time an American crashed a plane into a building, or murdered girls for the crime of going to school? Just cool the rhetoric. We do not need another civil war, only civil discourse.
When I taught public high school, I often ran to and from work and my students saw me in my running clothes (tank top and shorts in warm weather). I changed into more conventional attire (often blue jeans, always running shoes) before my first class. I really don't care how a teacher dresses as long as his teaching is competent. Meanwhile, my students see that a man can have brains, be successful and still be healthy and look like a MAN and not a pregnant woman.
I don't believe any of that, and I'm a religious person. Not all religious people are Christian, you see, and America is home to people of all religious faiths and none. Have a Merry Christmas, and even a Jesus-centered one if that's your thing. I had my New Year in September and I have a relatively minor holiday coming up. Just keep religion separate from the state, thank you very much.
