Every Picture Tells A Story (Especially Pictures Of Preborn Children)

Your argument is pointless. Abortion is only allowed (barring emergency for the mothers health) In the first Trimester, or 12 weeks. You point out watching videos at 24 weeks (the very end of the second trimester) and the 30th and 36th weeks, so in the mid-third trimester, or immediately before birth. I don't deny that abortion should be restricted to the first trimester, but this article makes a pointless and hyperbolic argument.

Dr. Tiller the Killer was aborting babies in the last trimester. It is a total lie that abortions are only allowed in the first few weeks of pregnancy. Abortionists have been murdering babies up to the last week before birth. Don't deceive yourself.

And our wonderful president (when he was still a senator) wanted to allow babies born as the result of a botched abortion to be aborted after the fact! Whitebeard is right; it’s happening at all stages now.

Chi Chaz: Our 11th grandchild was born today. Already, we are facing a medical dilemma with him. Funny how some of us fight tooth and nail to protect the innocent, while others could care less.

ZC: Your post is pointless. Abortion is occurring, routinely, in all three trimesters. Ever hear of partial birth abortion?

Pointless? It's downright false.

Not to mention that, for a fair portion of said first trimester, a girl/woman doesn't even know she's pregnant yet.

Yes. Partial birth abortions are illegal, per the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003.
DCM in FL Wrote: Nov 30, 2012 2:51 PM
There's no way partial birth abortion has been nonexistent since 2003. And besides, there's no way you can broadly claim that "abortion is only allowed... in the first trimester."

Just a note: abortion doesn't occur routinely in the second or third trimesters. It occurs extremely rarely in the third trimester and not very often in the second. Something like 90% of abortions occur in the first trimester. This doesn't minimize the quantity of abortion overall nor the importance of the issue, but I do think it's important to be accurate when discussing it.

Ishort: You might not know that California is one of the four states that doesn't report abortion statistics to the CDC (from whence came your assertion, I presume), and since more abortions are performed in California than any other state, the CDC statistics are, at best, a good estimate. Probably safe to say that over 100,000 second term abortions are performed each year. This "accuracy," of course, is of interest, only to those who arbitrarily divide gestation into three periods.

Actually, I got those numbers from Fox News, which according to their website they got from Planned Parenthood. :) Actually, that juxtaposition is funny.

There is something existential about sitting around the den during the holidays and watching home videos from when the children were young, dad was thin, and mom was trying to hold it all together amid the craziness.

In those moments, watching while sister holds hot chocolate, brother holds a glass of tea, and dad sips coffee, comments fly—like “look how dirty Tommy’s face was” and “Sally must have done her own hair that day” and “Mom still looks as young as she did then.”

Perhaps grandpa appears in the video for a second and silence falls over the room, for...
