The Republicans will raise the limit. About fifty of them will give Obama what ever he wants. I wish Townhall would name and shame them. How can anybody vote for an increase in debt without a budget, but they will do it. How could anybody vote for these unsustainable increases at all, but they will do it. Then they will want Republicans to get out at the next election and support them. At least Democrats and the monkey in the white house give their supporters heart by sticking to their principles.

The question is extremely simple: If Congress agrees to meet the president's demands and hike the debt ceiling without any preconditions, what dollar figure and/or time frame would the president like to see in the legislation?  Increasing the debt ceiling isn't a hypothetical or symbolic action.  It involves extending the government's ability to borrow a finite amount of money -- you know, actual dollars...
