Sarah Palin: Don't Lose Heart

The biggest loser of this election cycle was Rasmussen (and Karl Rove and Dìck Morris). Rasmussen's polling methodology has always been grossly biased and scientically unsound. But I'm certain that townhall.com (along with Fox News) will continue to use him as their primary source of polling data. People don't want truth - they'd rather hear "news" that reaffirms their own biases.
Bring back McCain-Feingold. And while we're at it: Feingold \ Sanders 2016!!! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/progressive-ideas-network/headline-2020-feingold-sa_b_413601.html
Obama IS right-of-center. He's run the right-wing policies of George W Bush even further downfield. Both parties are wholly-owned subsidiaries of corporate interests. $2 BILLLION spent on these campaigns? Companies don't invest that much money into anything without the expectation of a return on the investment. Speech can't buy you a car, a home, or an election - but money can - because money is currency. Citizens United (a Koch brothers institution - not a group of united citizens) represented the end of democracy - not Obama. There is no Citizens United law - It was a radical example of judicial legislation that immediately nullified existing laws meant to prohibit corporate and union interests from unrestricted electioneering.

Nice try Romney.
It seems like only yesterday, that sites like this were heralding Romney's imminent victory, pointing to evidence like endorsements from papers like the NY Daily News. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/11/04/new-york-daily-paper-with-long-democratic-history-switches-endorsement-to/ Today, the same paper is heralding Obama as the new "Reagan". http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/president-obama-new-ronald-reagan-article-1.1197844 See? Obama isn't "The One". Apparently he's Ronald Reagan junior.

Oooooh! I can't stand it I know you planned it I'm gonna set it straight this Watergate I can't stand rocking when I'm in here 'Cause your crystal ball ain't so crystal clear What could it be? It's a mirage You're scheming on a thing That's sabotage!
Don't sweat these folks Mark12344. You and I both know precisely how stupid these posters can be.
"You start out in 1954 by saying, 'N****r, n****r, n****r.' By 1968 you can't say 'n****r' - that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites." -- Lee Atwater, former Chair of the Republican Party
The link I supplied above - watch it (just for fun). Those folks represent the face of the GOP base. ...or read the comments section of just about any article on this site. You'll find the same sentiments.

Not all polls: Romney Gets No Bounce From Last Week's GOP Convention Mitt Romney received no convention bounce, based on Gallup Daily tracking before (47%) and after (46%) last week's Republican National Convention. He joins John Kerry and George McGovern as nominees who did not get a bounce. http://www.gallup.com/poll/157262/romney-gets-no-bounce-last-week-gop-convention.aspx
