It serves no purpose to beggar ourselves in order to relieve the suffering of today's poor. If we give all of our wealth to the poor then we will then be poor and suffering ourselves. there is not enough wealth in the entire world to end the sea of poverty that besets this cursed world. If we give it all away, then someone else will rise to the top and accumulate wealth. The cycle of wealth creation and poverty creation is part of this planet's natural order.
