A heterosexual man can marry a woman if he wants to but he cannot marry a man. the same holds for the homosexual man. He can marry a woman if he wants but he cannot marry a man. their rights are the same. It sounds like a bad argument but the more I heard it, the more it sounds correct. To allow man-man marriage is to create a new right for a few.

Ah yes, and women should have urinals in their bathrooms because they have the same right to pee standing up as men do.

When you start this discussion....please accept that it is not only a man-man marriage but a woman-woman marriage that is or should be accepted as legal in this nation of ours. Just as each child, each orphan, each of our citizens needs love.....legalizing love is a good thing.

Last week, Republican Senator Rob Portman of Ohio announced that he had reversed his position on same-sex marriage. The reason was that his son had come out to him and his wife as gay.

This is not the first such instance. Periodically, we hear about Republican politicians whose child announces that he or she is gay, prompting the parent to change his mind about the man-woman definition of marriage.

As a parent, I understand these parents. We love our children, and we want them to love us.

Nevertheless I differ with their decisions to support the redefinition...
