How many people have heard about The Galveston Retirement Plan. I think it was in 1982 that the government allowed places to opt out of social security. And then the government pretty quickly changed their mind. Some of the places are still opted out. Go to google, type in Galveston Retirement and hit enter. See what those people look forward to for retirement now. All the monies they paid in belongs to them and their heirs.

It was the municipal emplloyees of Galveston who started their own 401k style planbecause at that time, local gubmint employees did not participate in SS.

The fiscal cliff is over. And it turns out it was just a reality TV show that was devoid of reality. Taxes are going up on everyone. Make sure you check your paycheck, because you’re included too, not just the dirty, rotten rich.

Now that Fiscal Cliff, the TV show has been cancelled, Wall Street is back to concentrating on the normal cliffs they usually worry about: the earnings cliff, the interest rate cliff, the money printing cliff (QE4EVER! <3 <3) and whatever other cliffs that worried traders can dream up for gullible journalists to write about.

I always...
