However, the writer of Hebrews tells us that in these last days God has spoken to us through a perfect vessel: Hebrews 1:1-2 In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. I'm still open to moving in the prophetic today, but from what I can tell, Joseph was a false prophet (e.g. He lusted in his heart so he received a word from God to conveniently excuse his dalliances.) I know Mormons are generally good people, but their insistence on esteeming Joseph Smith is problematic.

Now that Mitt Romney is the presumptive Republican nominee for president, the left is increasing its attacks on his Mormon religion, hoping to distract voters into focusing on perceived negatives about Mormonism. The latest attack is shrewdly done. Instead of directly attacking Mormonism, which could look bad, the left is claiming that Mormonism is really socialist.
