Here's another one Hawky -- get your facts straight before you write a column --- even if it is just TH. 50% of these quotes were not 'invented' by Churchill --Churchill himself attributed them to others, but you read this somewhere or heard something and didn't even try to verify whether Churchill invented them or was the first to utter them. As to the "finest" President -- most attribute that to FDR -- Yeah, we know how you've elevated the Amiable Dunce to mythic proportions, but that's absolute nonsense. The Iran/Contra scandal and the bribery to ensure that the hostages were released as the Big Dope was being inaugurated elevated him to the ranks of just another crook -- just like Tricky Dicky Nixon.

Regardless of who came up with the quotes in the first place is not as important as the fact that they bear repeating, and repeating, and repeating until them come back into our collective consciousness.

There are those of us who have not lost our way, and it is our duty to push back against those who have and those who are being led astray. The Obama Campaign is community organizing the nation into conflict between the statist and the conservatives. Organizing communities to get what they want is very effective. Read some of Saul Alinsky's work to get an idea of how they operate. Rules for Radicals is online in summary form. Very informative.

FDR; the finest President? The President that created the WELFARE STATE?

And extended the Great Depression by a decade?
And you notice how peace-loving libs embrace the presidents that took us into or expanded the most brutal wars with the greatest loss of American lives (Wilson, Roosevelt, Kennedy, LBJ) and yet call Republican presidents the war-mongers?

Notice, however, that your flap-eared dog eater gets away with Fast and Furious and Bhenghazi, and you are not outraged.

you're obamanizing... if you state something give a reference to back the claim. which ones were not made and where did he attribute them to others. not saying you're wrong just doing the same thing most liberal politicos do.

The finest American President of the 20th century was Ronald Reagan, but the greatest world leader during that time was Winston Churchill. Had the Brits not had a man of his caliber at the helm during World War 2, world history may have turned out very differently. Not only was Churchill a great leader, he was one of the single most quotable men who has ever walked God's green earth.
