AND lack of proper parental guidance and upbringing for the kids, especially in many cases the missing father. that spills over into attitudes about getting an education and finding gainful employment. when these things occur over several generations, its next to impossible to instill any "proper" value set into the youth. and we end up with folks getting sorrier and sorrier. and yes allison sorry across the board..........whites, blacks, hispanics, etc.

Yes, a father CAN help IF he disciplines the kid.....thats not always the case even when the father IS there.
A single mother CAN discipline too but she has to be very consistent and very tough.
