M30, That you are taught at home that African-Americans are taught at church and at home to continue to persist in poverty so the government spigot isn't shut off, shows that you have ZERO credibility in the area of those in poverty. This is the attitude by those on the right, that anyone who isn't a Republican, and can't make themselves valuable to the market, is somehow a parasite or a freeloader. That shows an unbelievable confidence in the fact that Republicans "deserve" what they claim to have "earned," and that anyone who can earn profit, even at the expense of the well-being of others, is to be applauded. The latter is what I would term a "parasite," who takes from society because they have the opportunity without giving back.

It doesn't look like President Obama will be able to shed his reputation as the food stamp president any time soon. According to new data from the USDA, the number of people on food stamps has hit another all time high of 47,710,324 which is up by 600,000 from August. To be fair, this number is a bit distorted due to disaster relief from Hurricane Sandy.
