I'm simply referring to Bush v. Gore, where the then candidate Bush filed suit to stop the recount of absentee ballots as demanded by Al Gore. The fact that the scenario, as I described it above, didn't strike a historical chord with you shows that you might be lacking in an "honest and fair" basis of knowledge in pretty recent American history. But then again, maybe "hanging chad" isn't in your lexicon...
