Obama's College Classmate: ‘The Obama Scandal Is at Columbia’

He is out to destroy America. Most of us would easily have voted for an Allen West or a Herman Cain, so your race card bs is getting old. We aren't opposed to him because of his color but because of his ideology, his obvious lack of leadership and his dishonesty.

"Yes, he is a natural born citizen." -- The Supreme Court cases that I've seen referenced that seem to address this rather ill-defined term looked to me to come down on defining "natural born citizen" as "citizen *BOTH* of whose parents were citizens at the time of his birth". That's why we couldn't back Rubio for President - his folks weren't naturalized until after he was born. In Obama's case, unless DNA testing could show that Barry, Sr., *wasn't* his father, then while he *is* a US Citizen by the 14th Amendment, he is NOT a "natural born" citizen. Thus, he would appear to be ineligible to hold the office.

"Get over the fact that you have a black president already." -- I find the underlying assumption behind this statement offensive as all get-out. Never once have I addressed the race of anyone whom I have either favored or opposed for any given political office - the categorization is irrelevent in assessing qualifications and positions and so forth. Besides, *is* Obama black just because his daddy's an African? Or is he white because his mother's white? I guess by the heniously racist "one drop rule" from early-1900s Virginia he *has* to be black. That to which I object is not his skin color (about which I care not) but his politics, policies, and intentions, which I find every bit as inimical to a Constitutional Republic as Dubya's.

And heck, the rampant debt-driven spending, the constant issuance of Executive Orders, the "czars", the profligate expenditure of militiary power overseas, the bailouts and grants and loan guarantees to cronies and political fellow-travellers, the surveillance aparatus, the indefinite detentions, the increasing regulatory intrusion into just about everything from guns to butter... ALL of the things for which I mislike and mistrust Obama... ALL of those are nothing more than his doubling down on all the things I hated about DUBYA.

Race is not relevant to whether one s a natural born citizen, which means birth on U.S. soil to two U.S. citizen parents. Where does race come in? It seems that you, pinkmusic, are the racist for seeing race where it is entirely irrelevant.
