Auditing the Federal Reserve is More Urgent Than Ever

The Fed is audited, albeit with serious time-lapses. Either way, it's just inflammatory misinformation (read: propaganda) to try to sell this "audit" to the under-informed public, the way that Libertarians and Conservatives are doing it. Essentially, this bill would give our mostly corrupt and inept Congress the power to approve or deny the country's national banking decisions better left to Economists. With that said, of course The Fed needs to be reformed. Forget "auditing" the Fed. Nationalize it & all the banks. The Fed is a tool that uses the tax-paying public as an insurance policy for failures of financial gambling at the national level. It's time we were rewarded for the wins as well.

The Fed has never been audited. Ever.

Certainly not what any reasonable person would consider to be a complete audit.

No, the Federal Reserve is not continuously audited, where are you getting that information from?

A liberal that actually doesn't trust government to do something and instead trusts private bankers? What kind of liberal are you?

So congress is inept and corrupt, and you're okay with them controlling what we get to put into our bodies and how we defend ourselves, not to mention control of our medicine and health insurance, but if it's the money supply, then let the bankers control it?

Nothing is being sold, there is no selling, there is only educating. No central bank is necessary and there is no need for reform, it needs to be abolished. Let congress be blamed for future economic disasters and then vote them out.

The Fed is audited, but the question is always what is meant by "audited". Its audit is a financial audit, but what I think people like Paul want is a management audit. Deloitte & Touche LLP are their outside auditors.

But who sees their "audit"? Only the Fed.

No government institution is more secretive than the Federal Reserve. Believe it or not, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is more transparent than the central bank of the United States. This is a huge cause for concern as the Fed dramatically affects the lives of every single American.

The Fed has never been fully audited in its nearly 100-year history. The American people only got a small glimpse of what happens behind closed doors last July. A watered-down audit conducted by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) revealed $16 trillion in Fed bailouts to banks and corporations around the world at...
