My question is, Why aren't the coal plants just turning off the power completely? You want to regualte us to death? Ok, here's what the world looks like with us dead. Boom, no power on the eastern corridor. Maybe when the White House can't turn on its lights, the Pres will stop trying to kill coal. MAYBE.

I agree, during the next heat wave, the power plants shoould all go off line for a couple of days. That might get the attention of the folks who keep wanting them shut down. Texas has a lot of windmills. I'm sure those contraptions will fill the void.

Even if you have no desire to live in a Chevy Volt "community," you're paying for it. Chevy Volt sales are pathetically low so the company is partnering with the liberal city of Austin, Texas to build a green test community. They might have to gather all the Chevy Volts ever sold to fill this place up.

Maybe it should be renamed "Chevrolet Volt-ville." The largest concentration of Chevrolet Volts in the country will play a key role in helping Texas residents in a 700-acre planned community as they test the impact of "smart homes" and other...
