Romney (McCain 2.0) lost for the same reasons as McCain....not defending the attacks all summer....not going for the throat on dozens of issues that a conservative would have been crucified for....playing nice against the most corrupt party on the planet...And being a rather 'milquetoast', non aggressive type (or at least that was the result of the media paint job) didn't help some come over to the 'right side'.
