Cummings is exactly right. Wasting the taxpayers' hard-earned money is sickening. Unfortunately, the is only the tip of the iceberg. What's needed is more outrage by Congress to clamp down on this disgusting behavior that has been engrained into the federal system of government.

The point was that the girl should be entitled to be on the list - not at the top of the list - of eligible recipients. The addition of her name to the list would carry no more weight than anyone else, except that her need could be more urgent than that of another. This would be the case for any new addition to the list, regardless of age. Yes, the government should not be involved at all, but given that Sebelius has control at the moment, it is proper to call on her to change the rule so doctors can have more influence concerning eligibility. This is an urgent matter, not one for extended debate.
