I can remember when on the first Day of deer hunting season, us boys would carry our rifles or shotguns to school after early morning hunting and then we would continue our hunt after school. We kept our firearms in our lockers - my how times have changed.

The Newtown Board of Education has been analyzing different ways to keep schools safe since the tragedy in December and now, they're asking for armed protection throughout the school district. More from NBC Connecticut:
