Good job Governor. As an AA, I marched with MLK for the right to vote. I thank the governor for protecting this right for American citizens only. I hope that the policy will become law in all the other states that do not currently have it.
Get em Newt!! For the readers on this site let it be known that as an AA in the past blacks thought food stamps were a way to cripple our race and make us "dependent on the white man." We wanted to work and we "looked down" on people who did not. Now thanks to democrats and especially Obama it is almost seen as something to be proud of. My people have lost their way listening to the dems.
Heh. The same people who built the businesses paid raxes to build the roads, schools, pay taxes to employ teachers, law-enforcement agencies, and firemen and all your other items; not the freeloaders you admire you nincompoop. What are you missing? Stupid is as stupid does.
Love your posts. Some of your figures are too low. Like Bill Clinton said this election is about arithmetic (math). Here are some breakdown of numbers: $830 billion stimulus to "save" or create 2.5 million jobs. Cost: $330,000/job or $82,500 per job per 4 year period. He is INSANE!! 38 billion for 60,000 green jobs. Cost: $633.333/job, madness on steroids. Solenydra a $530 million boondoggle for 1,100 jobs. Cost: $482,000/job. If the majority of people in the country knew how dumb this ignorant man is he couldn't be elected dog catcher. Let's spread the word everybody.
She reminds me of the old saying "Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive." Her objective is to deliberately deceive the public concerning Romney's position. The dem party is the abortion party , not the "working man's party" as they used to claim which is why I left it in 2008 when the looney liberals took it over.
Although I am not a historian I feel that this upcomming election is a milestone for America. The country is either going to elect a man of great character, ability, know how and one with the right skills that the country needs at this juncture, a Mitt Romney or they will elect a shiny object who is a know nothing, hollow human being who will continue to take the country down the wrong track, Barack Obama. As an AA I say change horses now!!!

That's not what the idiot said. As an AA and former small busines owner (opened a daiquri shop, restuarant, and bar with a second mortgage on my home) this man is a simpleton. No govt. entity helped me with a loan, shared the long hours with me, helped me pay the workers, taxes, etc to run the business. The roads my customers drove on were the same ones I helped to pay for...

Agree. Every dollar they take from the taxpayer whether for "good" reasons or "bad" reasons is a dollar taken out of circulation in the private economy which creates jobs and wealth not the federal govt.

They are tasked with overseeing the projects. Look what happened during hurricane Katrina. The levies broke and the city of New Orleans was flooded. This was a failure of the USACE not the local people. The same concept is behind every department including transportation and highways. The govt do not do the work they do not have the capability.

RAW. It is so striking that people do not know that the federal govt. and its departments are unable to design, build, or construct anything. It is all done through contracting out to private industry. I worked for the USACE. Their major task was to keep the US navigable waters open to navigation. They farmed that out to private companies. Same with the levies, dams and other infrastructures.
