Agreed. The citizens of this country have wanted responsible budgeting in Washington DC since 1990 when Senators Graham and Rudman pointed out that Defense,SS, and welfare comprise 90% of all federal spending. The GOP won support from 1994 through 2000 because they balanced the budget, something no Democrat Congress as ever done in my lifetime. The GOP lost that support in 2006, not because of Mark Foley, but because they lost their courage and failed to balance the budget 8 straight years. They won the House back in a landslide in 2010 because "moderate" voters figured out that Obama and the Democrats were fiscal frauds in 2009 and 2010. But Boehner still doesn't get the message.

This past week, he removed three conservative Republican Congressmen from their committee positions in retaliation for not voting for his compromises on the budget with Democrats – compromises that led us to the current “fiscal cliff.” Rep. David Schweikert (R-AZ) was removed from the Financial Services Committee, and Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS) and Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) were removed from the Budget Committee. All three were elected with strong Tea Party support.
