On 18 December 1980, it agreed to pay $6 million as settlement for the final U.S. bill of $17,132,709 for material damage to the Liberty itself plus 13 years' interest. These two paragraphs were copy 'n pasted from Wikipedia. But Herman thinks Israel should let Hamas attack them relentlessly from Gaza, the West Bank, the Golan heights, or from offshore with help from the Turkish Navy without responding or defending themselves because they made a mistake once while in a war for their very existence with Egypt. Maybe Herman can explain what the USS Liberty was doing in the middle of a war zone (and don't give me any of that "international waters nonsense). If our ship was in a war zone it's not surprising it got hit.
