In 2009 Obama was given $787 billion to do "shovel-ready" infrastructure jobs like repairing and upgrading highway bridges. More recently Elizabeth Warren reminded us what great asset these "roads and bridges" were to private businessmen. Government has no excuse for any Interstate System bridge to collapse. We The People have generously funded highway construction, expansion, maintenance, and repair only to see the money spent to shore up the pension funds of partisan unions that are an essential part of the Democrat party's base instead. The only shoe that hasn't fallen (yet) on this one is the inevitable attempt by the left to blame George W. Bush, Rush Limbaugh, the sequester, and/or global warming.
