Re: "Everybody does it." This is a blatant liberal hypocrisy. They don't allow Republicans or conservatives to use the "Everybody does it" defense when Mark Sanford sneaks off to Argentina to play with his mistress or when Larry Craig gets caught playing footsie in an airport rest room, or when Mark Foley is sending emails to young pages. They say the right's own morality makes this inexcusable. Well, liberals are the ones who crusade against "evil" corporate profits and the even more evil patronage and shady deals that cause them and result from them. Thus, by their own rules, liberals aren't allowed to use the "Everybody does it" defense for Obama on his purely selfish and wholly dishonest deal with Tony Rezko.

But they do, and there is nothing you can do about it. I have said this before but I'll say it again. 'Liberals dig up dirt on Republican candidates and expose even the appearance of impropriety and the conservative voters shun the candidate. Conservatives waste their time and energy trying to get even by digging up dirt on liberal candidates and exposing it. But liberal voters support the muddied and soiled candidates anyway'. The MAD policy of 'you smear me and I'll smear you' doesn't work here in the U.S.A. Liberals aren't afraid to elect dishonest candidates. In fact they prefer to.

Dear Comrade Doctor,

Yes, this is the standard response that you give when anyone points out that your heroes don’t quite live up to the ideals that they supposedly embody: “Everyone does it.”
