Clinton said our fearless leader made a gutsy call to take out Osama. Our leader was so confident of the success that he had the "Ax" and Val prepare a CYA memo in case the gutsy call went South. Now he has the audacity to take credit for the success. Are a gutsy call and a CYA memo compatible? Someone please help this ole vet.

First, I consider Obama's "GO!" call the absolute minimum standard of performance for my Commander-in-Chief. If he's going to send good Americans into harm's way, that is the least the CinC can do. No "extra credit" points for that from me.

Second, GEN Eisenhower had two statements written and in his top pocket on D-Day; one that took responsibility for the failure, and one that announced the victory. We never got to hear his mea culpa, of course.

Contrast the actions of a true leader, Ike, to those of Obama, who designated a scapegoat if things went sour. Nuff said.

Now, three quick thoughts:

(1) Some of the initial outrage on Twitter indicated that O's campaign used actual footage from the Bin Laden raid in the ad, but I don't think that's the case.  Nevertheless, the grainy night-vision footage is obviously intended to evoke imagery of the Abbottabad mission.  Message sent: Don't forget who was president when we got OBL, America.
