The most unstable government is a lynch mob (Democracy). Cuba had a democracy...just before the trained communists took advantage of the situation. America is NOT a democracy but a REPUBLIC. I do not swear allegiance to a "democracy". Historically, despots have always used "democracy" as their method of bringing a culture under their control. For instance, right now, the Muslim cultures are transitioning through "democracy" to Secular Humanist control.

So far as the difference between our "Republic" and China. Any republic of the people/by the people/for the people must have a powerful enough military to protect it. This is because our balance of powers is designed NOT to charge full-speed ahead, but to impede disaster. China has...

The Republican Health Care Failure

To put this health care reform into perspective...just take medicare and the insurance companies out of the equation. Just for a few minutes of careful thought.

Can an illegal from Mexico afford a trip to the hospital? Well...our American blue-collar workers make the same amount of money in wages as they do. There has not been a raise in the wage of carpenters in the last thirty years. In fact, it has gone backwards. And presently most of that construction business is on hold. China may be working but "Joe-sixpack" is not!

Now! Double the blue-collar worker's wage. DOUBLE IT! Yes, and put everyone to work. And he could still not afford a trip to the hospital. Has anyone checked the cost of a trip for Joe to the emergency...

Israel's Other War

You just can't try and figure out the Jewish mind. It gave the Germans a nervous breakdown. God has His hand on those people, He has always lead and rewarded and disciplined them. Anyone getting in the way of that becomes toast.

My examination of Jewish politics was scarey. I really can not humanly explain how Israel has actually survived as a nation. Their politics is pretty cold-blooded and brutal.

So far as the television set facing the window...facing the orthodox community. The German in me says they should have just popped that TV with a .338...and skipped all the theatre.

The Irish in me wants to toast the whole thing with a spirited river-dance and half a bottle of scotch.

And the Indian (Native...
Thank you for a well written column. I just cannot remember anything written/presented any better on this subject.

There is nothing surprizing to me about the waterboarding issue heading to court. What did they expect? In fact...I believe it was a deliberate set-up. How else can you explain such seeming stupidity? Do we have those in charge of national security so stupid as to not even know very basic rules of human sociology? Such a thought is absurd. They deal with everything within context daily and with long range objectives in mind. Sociology is not a new science.

Motivation of operatives? All those motivated by money...step to the line over there where they examine voice stress and blood pulse...you are NOT to be working there. All you "family" guys & gals step over to that other line so you can have your diapers changed. And YOU...yes...

Is there a Jew/ Muslim/Christian who does not love Jerusalem? No group is going to be able to put that city in its ideological pocket. The "Crusades" were begun because Christians were denighed access to the Holy Land. That first crusade broke into Jerusalem on the month and day of my birthday. Something I am proud of.

And so, as a Christian I watch. And if Israel and the Palestinians cannot figure out how to guard and oversee Jerusalem...well, perhaps the Christians should interceed. I actually like that idea. Either a three brother roundtable can work there...or nowhere.

Jerusalem is sort of a reality check for all this "New World Order" idealism. Iran, for instance, should be told in no uncertain terms to leave the...

Probably the most important thing in life is actually showing the children how to die.

I always tell someone contemplating suicide: "Pick out the member of the family you love the most...that is the one who will follow your lead."

The dying process is nature's way of "closure" for the family. Ideally, the dying person should live long enough for family members to turn loose...and actually begin to pray God take that loved one home. The worst method is "assisted suicide" wherein (for whatever reason)the family expresses a discarding of the family member. Dr. Meninger said that all suicides were some sort of revenge. I disagree with him on this, but I do believe the suicidal urge is a mental illness. An urge that can be...

Weathering the ocean in all its moods has developed wooden boat building to an exact science. My flat bottomed financial scow is just not going to survive this international "Keynesian" tsunami (sp?). We were doomed when we were forced to jettison the "Gold Standard" (to stay afloat)...way back yonder.

God told us He would NEVER allow another "Tower of Babel".

I marvel at the nerve of these international optimists. My lone experience at open water was a horid trip up the Inland Passage Way (Southeastern Alaska). There was ONE stretch where I retreated to my bunk out of desperation. I came out just long enough to hang over the side watching a pilot boat drill through rough water...from rocky land to ferry. UGH!

But I...

One of the problems of a young President is ignorance. I can't remember...did President Obama ever apologize to the US Supreme Court for his breach of Constitutional authority?

The person(s) who advised him to attack the Supreme Court within his State of the Union address should be quietly fired. To not have an understanding of the architecture supporting our Declaration of Independence may be tolerable in the academic world of culture war...but not at the highest level within the Executive Branch of our government.

Western Civilization is sagging in the middle and wheezing like a tired old work-horse. All that remains to have it collapse in its tracks is for it legs to be kicked out from under it.

Health care reform is desperately needed.Every dread that Paul Scot warns of concerning Euthanasia is happening right now.

I have met a declared "brain dead" man who had a family member fight doctors to prevent harvesting of his body parts. He not only miraculously came back from "brain death" but did not even need a cane to get around when I was talking to him. AND! While in the coma he was listening in on conversations. How many have been "harvested" to keep this sicko system going?

And, believe me! There is a team from Hospice that arrives to get the papers signed! Once you do...they prep you to die of dehydration.Dare to suggest that someone might consider hydration as "comfort care" and just see what happens! They want...
