We Know How to Stop School Shootings

A letter from the sister of one of the 1st grade Newtown victims buried today, as read today on-air by Anderson Cooper, to The President of the United States ... "My name is Natalie Barden and I wanted to tell the president that only police officers and the military should get guns. If people want to do it as a sport than they could go to a shooting range and the guns would not be able to leave there." From the mouth of babes.... Vote against this Ann. Your move.

Unfortunately not only police officers and the military are armed, so are the mentally ill, somebody with a grudge, gang members, crazies, kids that were bullied, desensitized gamers and nut cases that hate their mothers. And they don't go to shooting ranges, they go where they can shoot you and you can't shoot back, because they are innate cowards. I'm a little more pragmatic than the naive that think that everybody should just do the right thing, because they don't. If I'm in a mall and some nutcase comes in shooting, I would hope to God that there was a trained, armed person there to permanently stop the shooter. Think about that scenario and be honest. with yourself.

Yes it is out of the mouths of babes. Then it goes through the ears, brains, and mouths of liberals. That comment comes from an innocent child who has likely only heard people around her saying the same things. But like the child liberals make the statement with nothing to base it on except raw emotion. There is a place to use the phrase "out of the mouths of babes" but because children are children and haven't lived very long on this earth they utter a lot of things out of their sheer natural ignorance. For liberals like Anderson Cooper and William here to set forth the letter by this dear child as if it were all the support we should ever need to get behind new gun legislation demonstrates their own shallowness and emotional immaturity.

This is no different from Obama telling us that he asked his daughters for advice. Children do not raise parents, at least they are not supposed to. The girl's response is totally expected and probably would be repeated by most if not all of the kids. They are children; and they think as children, with their emotions guiding them, and often as liberals. The similarity is profound.

Agree Rondoman

Because a first grader has a deep understanding of what is at stake with constitutional rights and how to fight against evil....... The ;libs think the 1st grader has it right

In the wake of a monstrous crime like a madman's mass murder of defenseless women and children at the Newtown, Conn., elementary school, the nation's attention is riveted on what could have been done to prevent such a massacre.

Luckily, some years ago, two famed economists, William Landes at the University of Chicago and John Lott at Yale, conducted a massive study of multiple victim public shootings in the United States between 1977 and 1995 to see how various legal changes affected their frequency and death toll.

Landes and Lott examined many of the very policies being proposed...
