Officers at schools is a FAAAAAR better idea than arming teachers. Arming teachers is the single stupidest idea i've heard come out of this tragedy. Do you seriously want your 1st grader taught everyday by a 23 year old girl wearing a loaded side-arm? Seriously? I know alot of young teachers. Not one of them want any part of a gun in the classroom. T H I N K before you write Mr Giles.

As a father of two daughters, 11 and 9 i would very MUCH welcome their teachers being armed. It's a damn sight better than hearing that their school has been the sight of another massacre! Doug has "thought" before he wrote, you damn fool. Just look back on who these killers have been. Wimpy, skinny little punks, who should have been taken out before they even injured one child.

And on a side note, when talking about these massacres, how come Ft. Hood is never mentioned? Or is that not PC? These PC nuts will be the death of us all. Count, "william6346" as one of em'.

I would love to have my kids teachers armed. Then the kids would ask questions who what and why. We would wind up with safer schools and better kids.
Think before you write.

My heart is sick. I feel so sorry for the children who were murdered, as well as the parents and loved ones of the slain kids and teachers at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. All of us here in the U.S.—who still have a soul—pray for those whose lives were just senselessly shattered.

But imagine if at least one teacher (with a concealed weapons permit) had their .40-caliber Glock with them, locked and loaded, when this weed Adam Lanza began his murderous mayhem Friday on the Sandy Hook Elementary School campus. What would have happened differently?
