What does it mean to be pro-life? Is it the view that every human life created has a soul given by God at conception and is therefore a unique and individual person. A sacred thing to be protected by both mankind and his laws. We cannot have a list of exceptions to sooth the feelings of those who claim that an evil act (rape or incest) somehow automatically deprives the innocent of their right to life.

As Richard Mourdock’s Indiana Senate fate hinges on how voters absorb his views on rape, all conservatives have an opportunity for a look in the mirror.
