First of all, since when do you spell "Coburn" as "Cobern" in your headline? You folks are more stupid than I thought. But being stupid doesn't mean you don't have power or that you won't assume more power in the future. God help us, because you idiots won't. I take small comfort in the fact that when you DO assume power you will destroy yourselves by your wallowing in your own imbecility.
And your point is ...
The US Navy has NO oath that states that you must vote and be a Republican, be against a DEM President, etc., etc. you are living in a dream world. If what you want comes to pass - working with a DEM and not being a Republican is treason, then we have truly descended into Fascism/Communism.

Just because someone claims self-defense doesn't mean the police have to let him/her go. They have to take in the surrounding evidence. Sort of like Jodi Arias claiming self-defense after stabbing Travis Alexander 29 times, slit his throat and then shot him - Oops! GZ may be forced to take the stand to justify his claim of self-defense. I am NOT saying that this is not a valid claim, but he may be in a position where he has to explain to the jury why this claim is true. There are no other witnesses and his silence can be construed as guilt (recent Supreme Court ruling) UNLESS he actively invokes the Fifth Amendment. Do I wish they had that with the Casey Anthony trial. She would have been convicted had she been on the stand invoking number five over and over again.
Three thousand deaths from guns since Sandy Hook. Shut up you idiots!

And you aren't smart enough to write this column, you third-rate "intellectual" sham!
Cruz even looks like Joe McCarthy! Needs a Roy Cohn look-alike as a sidekick. I shudder to think what will happen to this country if and when you TEA-Party types take over the country - will make Fascist Italy, Nazi Germany, Communist Bloc look like a walk in the park, especially when you go after those you label as "socialists and "lib-tards" and try to lock them up or do bodily harm to them. After all, it is YOU right-wing zealots who have the guns. Why do you think Mark Kelley (Gabby Gifford's husband) recently bought that semi- automatic rifle. It wasn't. To go hunting. It was to warn you right wing Fascists that if you go after Gabby or him, he will plug you - just as you ignoramuses would deserve!
What does "prescient" mean? By using such words you are sounding elitist and that is exactly the OPPOSITE of what you are trying to express. Let the elitism go to the Chris Hayes (MSNBC) types whom no one can understand.

The Role of 'Educators'

Maya Angelou, a renowned Black Poet and Liberal (yes, Liberal) is markedly opposed to Ebonics or Black street slang being taught in schools. Dumbing down the language is not the cure for Black ignorance. When we go bilingual, at least the Spanish or French in VT, NH & ME is gramatically correct. It is not street Spanish, etc. That student should have been berated and embarrassed by her teacher as an example to the other students. When I teach Biology if someone uses the word "prostrate" instead of "prostate" I will rake him through the coals in front of everyone until he gets it right or I'll throw him out of the class (never have had to go that far.) That's a mistake that is never repeated, never. That's the role of teachers!
"What government exists for is to secure a free sphere within which every person has an equal opportunity to exercise their God-given talents for the betterment of themselves and mankind." Ah! Therein lies the rub. The current system of non-aid or disproportionate aid does neither. The kid from the ghetto does not have the same "equal opportunity" that a kid from a richer neighborhood does. Ironically, the most productive countries are those that impose a more-or-less permanent class separation so that the downtrodden "know their place." Maybe Ayn Rand was right in her belief in that. Only, she took government handouts too, as it turned out.
