Rural America ran for YEARS, on Wind Power!! Haven't you ever seen the oil rig-looking towers with a multi bladed Prop and a tail fin?? with a logo that read Aer-Motor??? These windmills pumped water, and/or ran Wind-Chargers, [Generators]. They charged a Battery Bank which powered the Farm on D.C. current. These things lasted damned near Forever, and provided Free [almost ] electricity. There are other versions on large and small Sailing vessels, which regularly cross the Oceans, and get Free power from the Wind. Solar however apparently is not so dependable.

Yes there are some smaller 'rural residential' power generators out there that work, but for those with utilities supplied to their homes they aren't more economical than standard power on any front. The cost per kilowatt is significantly more based on high initial cost and ongoing maintenance such as replacing batteries. This is nowhere near 'almost free'.

The name symbolizes the bankruptcy of Obama’s energy policy: solar… trust… America.  Oxymoron, with the emphasis on moron. If it weren’t this close {ß}to being a tragedy, we could all laugh.

“Solar Trust of America LLC, which holds the development rights for the world's largest solar power project,” reports Reuters, “on Monday filed for bankruptcy protection after its...
