Jason: I don't think you are wrong at all. I agree with you, completely, that large corporations play a huge role in writing the laws/regs - and that the consumer is hurt in the process. I would add that said corporations have found it easier to do this when Democrats are in control.

I will try to use short words and type s-l-o-o-o-w-l-y to make it easier for you.
Corporations like democrats because democrats write complex rules, so there are always loopholes for this corporations to use. Even if the holes are not obvious, big corporations can hire many lawyers to find them. So they (the corps.) are protected from competition and can make more money.
Clear now?

raul: You are not responsive to comments and, btw, one sign of "insanity" is tangentiality. Another is ignoring facts or reality. From what I read, political donations by "fat cats" of all stripes is decidedly tilted in favor of Democrats.

OK your right. Corporations feel that democrats are easier to lobby. Because democrats are going to write less regulatory legislation and democrats are going to lower their corporate taxes and democrats are going to write more tax loopholes into the tax code.

How can you say that out of one side of your mouth but then scream democrats are anti jobs and anti business on the other? It makes no sense!

I cant believe the insanity of making a comment where corporations have an easier time lobbying democrats. Just look at the corporate donations in the last few elections Percentage wise much more going to the republican candidate.

No, raul, my wife did the "kidding" - 6 times. Which party is more likely to insist that insurance companies "insure" us against the day we discover, OMG, that I really was meant to be a mother and my wife was really meant to be a father? Hmm? Stop ignoring reality. Liberal legislative bodies in every state have passed legislation such as this which hurts all of us.

" I would add that said corporations have found it easier to do this when Democrats are in control."

Are you kidding?
Hey, remember when President Obama crusaded against Medicare fraud and vowed to crack down aggressively on scammers who've bilked the program out of an estimated $90 billion? Like Archie and Edith Bunker used to sing: Those were the daaaays.

While Democrats pretend to protect the elderly and disabled, leaders of the People's Party have pocketed gobs of campaign contributions from fat-cat donors tied to massive Medicare rip-off schemes.

Let's talk some more about Dr. Salomon Melgen, shall we? We now know that the jet-setting Florida eye doctor who flew beleaguered Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., to several alleged sex romps in the Dominican Republic...
