The High Cost of Liberalism: Part II

I would be hard pressed to believe that Ukraine would be protected from Russian invasion because of its nuclear arsenal. A conventional attack would not have been met with an asymmetrical counter attack; the stakes would have had to have been very, very high indeed for the Ukraine to have responded as such. But in the main, during the Cold War, Nukes did keep the peace, through a state of "mutually assured destruction".
I would remind Eric (the red) that it was liberals, as well as the Conservatives, that supported an Israeli state. The fact is is that the left does not want a Jewish state, because the left, as a broad, yet binding, generality, are anti-Semitic.

I always find great pleasure in Ms Malkin's turn of phrases, puns, and paroxysms of righteous indignation, and have adopted some of her "neologisms". The new one I have taken on is "Faux-minism" Gotta love it!
There is the freedom of association and, apparently for the left, as modus operandus, the right to label, stereotype, and exclude from the public forum.
The American left, that is.
The Left is today's fascists.
I have no doubt that Sen. Santorum has good intentions and a good heart, however, he has on more than one occasion said that there is no such definition of "privacy", that would compel the govt. to get out of my bedroom and to leave me be. I fear that when expedient, Mr. Santorum does not have a problem with the govt. acting as a kind of moral arbiter. The latter can cut both ways, whether one looks at the duties of the state through the eyes of a Conservative or liberal.

More Fraudulent Science From EPA

I maintain that the greatest danger to our Republic is a run-away, lumbering Bureaucratic leviathan, whose multiplicitous and onerous regulations have the power of law. Where is the Congress to rein this in?!
Civil rights? For what? To take life, sanctioned by the "penumbra and emanations" of the U.S. Constitution? This federal law IS unconstitutonal, and goes against the federal Republic of states rights.

Obama Kills College Sports

And how about these sports programs that allow for inner-city youth to get out of their environment of crime and unemployment? It seems to me that there are risks attendant to just about any choice in life, and taking up a scholarship at a prestigious university, to play a sport, is a case of the glass being half full, unless, of course, one sees everything as a glass half empty. This is a cynical deployment of political strong arming, in a state that has been top heavy from labor for decades.
