"if just one life can be saved ..." I hope my fellow bloggers are intelligent enough to see the hypocrisy in the verse above...So who is the one that determines that life? Who is the one that predicts anyone's life of being saved? Why is it that they always associate lives being saved with more burdensome rules and regulations. Maybe our (obamanation) should read out of the bible because it is God that determines when someone dies not humans. The truth is that the direction that this government is taking will in the long run cause many more deaths than it will save. Tyranny. And another thing it is impossible to determine how many lives are saved or not by a given government rule. Give us more freedoms not less.

In his pursuit of overarching gun control legislation in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook massacre, President Barack Obama has been dogged. He's been relentless. He's been demagogic, too, whether flanking himself with schoolchildren (the implication being that his political opponents don't care about dead kids) or suggesting that if just one life can be saved by his legislation, we ought to buy into it wholeheartedly (a proposition that would justify almost any sort of government overreach).
