How is it happening is Texas Schools...CSOPE. I suppose the Unions were just happy to get into Texas, but the state sure as hell are not paying their pensions.

The only way I can see actually see this working, is to privatize Social Security.There in NOTHING the Government can do as good as the Private Sector regardless of what it is, such as building roads or buildings, infrastructure, the Private Sector does it better, efficient, quicker, and no corner cutting (of which Unions are famous for doing) and they always need more than their bids. Not quite sure how this happened, but two counties in Texas (side by side) have used private investments as their retirement. The FNC interviews were amazing, not one single person wanted back into Social Security. The counties say their citizens are making 3 to 5 times as much as SSI pays.

Perry's biggest problem is that in Texas there are no debates for the Gubernatorial Race, even before he actually decided to run, he should have been taking debate lessons the hard-nosed way. Just as he was getting much better, he made the "Ponzi Scheme" comment, which the Media jumped all over and would not let it die till he left he race. Had he had better communication skills, he could have explained why Social Security was a Ponzi, he knew exactly what he was talking about. All fair minded Economists agreed he was right. When FDR created S.S. it was deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, who struck it, and many other New Deal so-called laws. They found a way to get it through by using Title VIII and Title II and calling it a Tax.
