Rubio is a neocon. He is for foreign aid and nation building by the U.S. military. Simply unacceptable. But go ahead and smack libertarians in the face again with another establishment candidate and pretend like your opinion of a candidate is what determines whether he will win the election. That worked so well with Romney and Ryan, didn't it?

Actually, while Rubio is a Peace-Through-Strengther, he wouldn't be a big slap in the faces of Libertarians. There's a fair amount of crossover between them.
In January 2008, at a John McCain rally in Columbia, S.C., I asked a number of local politicos to look back to the brutal 2000 Republican primary in their state, the one between McCain and George W. Bush. They had all supported Bush back then, and I asked whether, given the inconclusive wars, runaway federal spending and economic catastrophe of the next eight years, they felt they made the right choice.
