I listened to the whole speech. Did he not also say, "And what this reminded me of was that, at the heart of this country, its central idea is the idea that in this country, if you’re willing to work hard, if you’re willing to take responsibility, you can make it if you try." Did he not also say, "Our goal isn’t just to put people back to work -- although that’s priority number one -- it is to build an economy where that work pays off. An economy where everyone, whether you are starting a business or punching a clock, can see your hard work and responsibility rewarded. " Well, yes, he did. And it's contrary to what you are saying, also surprisingly not picked up by this guy to put on a shirt. How convenient.
Since the guy was catering Obama, "Don't bite the hand you feed" is a turn of the phrase, and correct. And would I be a patriot if I catered a Romney event wearing an, "I love my dog" t-shirt? The gulf in this country grows wider... when are we going to change that?
I wonder what would happen if someone showed up at a Romney event with a t-shirt misrepresenting something Romney said. Maybe, just maybe hypocrites here would think that was just awesome, too. Quite possibly not. The division in this country becomes greater, and the reactions to this t-shirt are a good reason why.
Dear God t-shirt wearer: If you don't think I'm everywhere, you are sadly mistaken. Your friend, God
