Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. AGW is an extraordinary claim. Where's the extraordinary proof?
Actually, that would be a great question to put to McConnell. I'm pretty sure he could hit that one out of the park.

With regard to the Demonrats: stupid and evil are not mutually exclusive.
DT, You're absolutely correct about the Demonrats; " they make whatever mouth-noises are required to get the gullible to vote for them again, " Unfortunately, the Repubs have their own candidates that say one thing while campaigning and another when in office. For example; Rubio/immigration.

"But it should be clear by now that neither of those outcomes will be possible as long as Democrats control the Senate." This comment is plain wrong. The Senate Demonrats will fix ObamaCare. They just won't do it with a Repub-controlled House. They cannot be seen passing legislation initiated by Repubs. The Demonrat strategy is to avoid doing anything in cooperation with Repubs. This way they can continue to blame Repubs for obstruction. The ultimate goal being total Demonrat control of gov't.
I sopped reading NatGeo for the same reason.

I agree. I read the article, but, didn't see how Max De Pree has actual solutions to anything.

"If they don't get what they think they deserve they will take it from wherever they can find it. " Basically, our current system is nothing more than succumbing to extortion; "gov't freebies or we riot, loot, rob."
"unintended consequences" for youths who have already come forward and obtained work permits." Why is that an "unintended" consequence? I think the Repubs should make it known that they will rescind an Obama EO allowing illegals to stay in this country once they gain control of the gov't in 2016. This will give immigration authorities a ready-made list of persons here illegally and can arrest and deport them. If the Repubs announcement makes illegals reluctant to come forward and accept the Obama EO for amnesty, then so much the better.
WJF, I disagree with the sentiment that Americans want no part of amnesty. I think Americans want no part of "comprehensive" immigration reform that includes amnesty or a "pathway" to citizenship. I think Americans want a certifiably secure border that prevents persons to illegally enter our country. Once that is achieved then Americans will be more receptive to considerations of amnesty or pathway to citizenship. To me, the problem is "comprehensive" immigration reform that includes amnesty. The issue of amnesty should be completely separate from border security and immigration reform.
