My Volt averages 35 mi/charge, but more in summer and less in winter. That is partially due to the effect of cold on the battery, but partially do to using the heater. Most gasoline cars get less mpg in winter too because it takes more energy to push through snow. I get 26-27 miles/charge when it is really cold and low 40s in the summer on a charge.

If there was any doubt from skeptics about the complicity of the Obama administration in creating and directing the “new” General Motors –a.k.a Government Motors- the latest ballyhoo regarding sales figures and the Chevy Volt should convince even the doubters.
