"That's the problem I have with right wingers. They are long on rhetoric, but woefully short on actual solutions.".....

O.K., let's examine this; Corporations are evil because they don't pay everyone who works for them a six figure salary. Corporations are evil because they are only after a profit, not the 'social welfare' of the "poor". In the perfect world of the socialist there would be no 'for profit' business activity at all and large corporations would be outlawed or nationalized for the betterment of the poor.

Who then would employ all of the workers, government? Who would build the cars, stoves, cell phones, refrigerators that you enjoy so much but hate the evil people who build them; cottage industries? ...
Back in the "good old days" when banks were run to make a profit rather than to be social engines, it was required that a home loan have 20% down to begin with. Of course, research into the finances of the applicant was considered just good business practice as well as the down payment; and we didn't have this problem. This isn't rocket science people, just use common sense and always remember the bank is out to make a profit {Horrors!}.

Healthy Dose of Student Loan Reform

Lets face it Michelle, this bureaucracy will be run as efficiently as all other ones; it will have 40,0000 employees and no money to loan for education within 2 years.

By that time it won't matter as it will be considered evil to pursue an education higher then the dumbest among us in the wonderland that B.O. is planning.

In response to the comment of 'left angle', and everyone else who has said that it is only a small secment of Islam that wants to do us harm:

**_A German's View on Islam_**

(SEVERLY TRUNCATED TO FIT)

We are told again and again by 'experts' and 'talking heads' that Islam is the religion of peace, and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. Although this unqualified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant.

The fact is that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars worldwide. It is the fanatics who, in Africa, are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the...

I don't know, but I have this funny feeling, that when the 'loving Muslims' who have been crossing the southern border dressed as Mexicans begin their suicide bombings in our shopping malls all of you apologists will fall all over each other in your attempt to either:

1. Find some way to justify their action.
2. Decry any action taken by government (any level) against the attackers in the name of religious tolerance, or
3. Finally wake up and realize that simply because it is a 'religious belief' does not create some moral equivalency between it and, shall we say, less violent faiths; and that it is truly the threat it has been painted to be.

I pray that the above scenario does not happen but, based on the actions...

SUBJECT: Amnesty for Illegals

The reference you made to the Republicans attempt to force amnesty in 2007 places your nom de plume in question. It was the 2006 DEMOCRATIC Congress that attempted this stunt in 2007.
"Go for Broke" is exactly what is happening. At the rate we are going into debt, we won't be able to fund a weenie roast by this time next year but, what the Hell, having a government on par with Venezuela and an economy somewhere south of Honduras can't be all bad, can it?

Dirty Secret No. 1 in Obamacare

I just returned from the Lifelong Learning Center here in Atlanta where a doctor had a "radical" solution to the health care problem:

Pattern health care insurance on the same template as auto insurance.

1. Have several insurance companies compete for clients, thus keeping costs down.

2. Have deductible provisions in the insurance as auto insurance does and buyer selectable as well, i.e.: $500, $1,000, etc. This will markedly reduce petty claims.

3. Have difference policy levels tailored to cover greater perceived needs; again like auto insurance.

4. Have payment plans similar to auto insurance -- monthly, quarterly, etc.

5. Have a provision within the insurance system to cover those...

In response to those who are comparing the provisions outlined on page 838, et al, with the court mandated "visits" performed by DFACS, one critical difference must be made; DFACS acts under the order of the court where intervention is required after an incident; whereas the provisions outlined in the proposed bill only reference two criteria - minority status and poverty. Albeit, it does make reference to:
