Mainly that if Big Gov't is in place, and BIG Gov't is handing out money, it would make no sense to weaken your own State by allowing all of your Fed taxes to be given to other states. Smaller Gov't requires that ALL states live with smaller Fed. handouts. No hypocrisy there, just common sense.

The outlook wasn't brilliant for the GOP this year:

To 10 parts cuts but 1 part tax, all said that they'd decline.
