Yes. We home schooled and I let the Superintendent of schools know I was not going to let public schooling get in the way of a good education for my children. He was a sore loser, but we've never been sorry. BTW, one of the coaches/ teachers told me he admired us for our decision and that he only wished he could do the same with his kids.
They've found out it beats working for a living.
