If anyone looked at the bills and the contents and the results they would see that the majority are not ideological bs, they were blocked for no good reason other then the party association. I have, the world has, you aparently have not.

It is not a myth that republicans have been obstructionists from day one. When they decared it does not invalidate that. Your only argument against is that obama was able to get some of his legislation passed at the beginning of his term. If you look at the bills, filibusters, senate cloture motions filed then you will see a pattern emerge.

I responded because all I hear is deregulation ! deregulation ! Freemarket will fix all. When the reality is that we do need some regulation and some social security. There needs to be a compromise not just cut cut cut ! Some regulations are over the top and not needed and do not help. Those need to be weeded out. But to pain regulationt as immoral is only going to cause more problems I never hear that from

I admitted that the myth is the time of when he said it. The facts are that he did say it and his actions support it. You cannot deny this. So all that matters to you is when he said it not that he is actually dooing it. Fair enough, you win. Good for your team. I hope that all those job bills that were blocked and the fact that the recovery is slower than it needs to be is worth it. Again, " Republican controlled Congress has attempted to stymie, muffle and bury just about every piece of legislation aimed at jobs creation and economic improvements. (Some of that legislation was identical in nearly every respect to proposed legislation the Republicans had."

Or rather someone else said it better; If you have a relatively decent degree of smarts, understand how the "separation of powers" provision in that Constitution thingy actually works and realize that the President isn't "king" and doesn't just get to unilaterally enact legislation you can readily understand how Obama is working against a stacked deck to a large degree and still has managed to get things done. On the flip side, you also understand how a obstructionist Republican controlled Congress has attempted to stymie, muffle and bury just about every piece of legislation aimed at jobs creation and economic improvements. (Some of that legislation was identical in nearly every respect to proposed legislation the Republicans had...

I did not miss that. He did say those words. If the myth is about when then yes that part is incorrect. The fact remains that he did say them. His and his fellow republicans acitons are consistent with that statement. There are records being set for senate cloture motions filed in a republican minority.
