deRanger - the BHO quote given here is only found in chain e-mails since early 2009. No credible source has this as a genuine quote.

Retired Geek - Thank you for sharing the story with us. Just to let you know, about 3 or 4 years ago, a new etiquette was passed concerning the civilian clothes of active & retired service members which allows us (including myself EMC USN Ret - 20 years) to salute out of uniform if the situation would warrant a salute. We still have the option of hand on heart as well.

If I may, while I genuinely appreciate a good barb directed towards O, and see a few posts here already concerning him, this article is not overtly political, nor did it discuss him. It is a reminder of those who cared enough, loved enough and sacrificed everything possible to HONOR what this country stands for. I purposely write this present tense because there are enough who still LOVE the ideals WE were founded upon. The sacrifice given is something some will never understand irrelevant of their position or rank. Lakewood Bob, not having visited Arlington, I thank you for the words written. Mr. North, thank you both for your articles and your service.
