i see what you mean. When I was a kid just after WWII I got called "Kraut" and "Your Nazi" because of my German ancestry. It didn't matter much to me other than a momentary "what's that all about" kind of question.

But my experience as above is a lot different than being Black and people calling you "ni__er" or being Mexican and people calling you "W__back".
