You clearly have never really studied any kind of religion with an open mind. We don't follow 'religious regulations' like automatons. We follow the ten commandments because we see wisdom in them. Nobody is ever perfect at doing this - all humanity is flawed - but because we actually study the Bible, rather than taking scattered verses out of context, we understand the reasoning behind the standards set forth in that great book. You might want to try really sitting down and reading it. Proverbs 1:7 - 7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

This article and its links have me really questioning whether the incidents in Lybia and the rest of the region are an indication of something even scarier. If I am understanding this article correctly, it suggests that President Obama's higher education, particularly at Columbia and Harvard, was financed by the Saudi royal family. I am not suggesting that the president is some 'secret Muslim', but if true, it could answer questions as to why he seems so beholden to the Muslim world, and so eager to go along with their lame excuses for acting like barbarians. http://www.dailyinterlake.com/opinion/columns/frank/article_7924e4f0-0468-11e2-8da2-0019bb2963f4.html
I think it's how abstinence is taught that determines its effectiveness. You have to give kids information, not just tell them that they shouldn't have sex until married, but if they do, use a condom. Communication is key. Nobody advocates occupying kids bedrooms, but teaching them to have healthy respect for themselves and others, as well as knowledge of sex and all that it entails is essential. From what my 17 year old tells me, the sex ed in schools these days is really just 'how to' information.
"WTF" - now that's class!
