Working off the specific definitions of facism and communism Joe is correct, they are not the same definition. When applied to government however they become essentially the same (100% government power). The link I gave Joe above explains it far better. As to communism all you really have to know to understand communism is the slogan "from each according to their ability, to each according to their need" People have a way overblown sense of need. So communism will take from you all that you can possibly do and give you bread and water. Or. if you are lucky you will get bread and circuses.

Oral arguments inside the Supreme Court regarding the constitutionality of Arizona's anti-illegal immigration legislation SB 1070 are over. Justice Elena Kagan recused herself from the case and the remaining justices during the session seem to be leaning toward Arizona according to the Wall Street Journal:
