If they were really interested in reducing the debt, they could start with getting rid of all the special interest earmarks, and "pork" that is currently funded in the budget. How about getting rid of the National Endowment for the Arts as a starter? Then get rid of the NEA, EPA, and other departments that do nothing constructive except feed off the tax-payers!
