There really is no hope for the GOP nationwide. if we cater to the groups that support Obama, we will have splinter third parties that peel off. The only hope short term is to continue to control the House. Long term as bankrupt states like California, Illinois and New York require federal bail outs, states with their financial houses in order will refuse and secede.

It no longer matters if we Repubs control the House because if Obummer doesn't get what he wants, he'll just do an end run around Congress. He use his various depts and agencies like the EPA to issue regulations to achieve his end. That's how he's implementing Cap nTrade since Congress blocked it.

Memorandum to the GOP: When running an election campaign it is often valuable to select a nominee who represents the rank and file of the Party. This is how other Parties do it. Perhaps you might get on board.
