Social Degeneration: Part 3

The riots in Britain are a sad testament to the state our world today. We have created an anything goes culture where success is measure purely by the number of zeroes we accumulate in our bank balance. We have completely abdicated personal responsibility and values in a quest for the shortest and fastest path to wealth, with the least amount of effort. http://www.vaishwords.com/2011/07/integrity-honour-and-other-arcane.html

The issue is not that they are women but that they both lack substance. Neither has a substantive point-of-view on any issue and they are nothing more than rabble rousing publicity seekers, looking to cash in personally, by dividing the nation and being divisive. When you say that “Palin has a very impressive executive record…” - I guess if quitting in the face of adversity is a quality you applaud then she will make a great President!

Media Go Leaner on Weiner

Actually, the media let's all these idiots off the hook - Mark Sanford, Larry Craig, John Ensign and now Anthony Weiner. It is amazing how they all follow the same script, expressing sincere regret, how their wives forgave them, and claim they did not break the law so they refuse to resign. Frankly, it demonstrates character - Spitzer and Foley at least showed they had some left by resigning immediately unlike people like Anthony Weiner who clearly are characterless men. WEINER MUST RESIGN!
I think the best solution is to let the shutdown go ahead. This is what lawmakers fear the most because they know that the people will discover that government actually functions more efficiently when 80% of its workforce is no longer part of the day to day bureaucracy!
I hope politician¬s on both sides of the aisle stop and think about their role in today’s shooting based on their continued vitriol and the personal, emotional and hate filled nature of political attacks these days on all issues.

All the tax cuts should have been allowed to expire. We have lived beyond our means for far too long. Clearly nobody in Washington has the courage to do the right thing for the country; it is business as usual once again.
The reality is that most of the US homegrown terrorists that have been caught do not fit the profile of poverty-stricken, opportunity-less, uneducated Muslim males anymore...http://vaishwords.blogspot.com/2010/05/fighting-terrorism-is-like-being.html
Everywhere I look I see nutso candidates on the ballot; Democrats, Republicans and Tea Party - only way to start to solve this problem is by introducing term-limits...http://vaishwords.blogspot.com/
The author Michael Marshall said in, Blood of Angels: “Terrorism isn't James Bond or Tom Clancy. Even Al-Qaeda is looking old school these days---now it's just some guy with a bomb. He walks the same roads as us. He thinks the same thoughts. But he's got a bomb.” http://vaishwords.blogspot.com/2010/05/fighting-terrorism-is-like-being.html
