It's hard to be patient when we have so many things to do and appointments to keep. Whenever I'm delayed by something unforeseen and find myself getting antsy I remind myself of the many ways God has worked in my life and remember my life is in his hands and whatever delay I'm in the midst of could very likely be another of his blessings that I will come to appreciate when I fully understand it. It doesn't change the situation but it changes my attitude and brings me peace.

One afternoon I stopped by the bank to make a few deposits. I was in a rush and needed to get in and out as soon as possible. I had places to go and things I had to do. I picked the worst possible time of day and the worst day of the week to do my banking. But I had been out of town and needed to catch up on errands before the weekend began.
